We’ve got some really exciting news we’d like to share with you – Pocket Casts is joining Automattic, the incredible company behind WordPress.com, Tumblr, WooCommerce, and other fantastic products.
We’re sure you have a lot of questions about what this means for Pocket Casts and we’ll go into more detail over the coming weeks, but rest assured that we don’t expect you to notice any immediate changes to the way Pocket Casts works.
Over the past decade (has it really been that long? Damn we’re old!), we’ve thoroughly enjoyed improving and building on the features that have made Pocket Casts such a must have app for so many people. Philip and I have been humbled by your support, feedback and words of encouragement over the years. The good news is we’re staying on as part of this exciting transition to continue to make Pocket Casts bigger and better in every way.
Let’s be honest, 2020 was rough for all of us individually but also for us as a company. This is a bright new chapter for us where we can focus on what we do best, bringing you the best possible podcasting experience we can.
