Hosting a pop culture podcast usually means I’m blabbing on with my opinions on movies, music, TV, theatre, and other pop culture each week. But sometimes, even I need a break from the sound of my own voice (and my co-host Louis Virtel’s). These other culture podcasts are a great way for me to shake up my own opinions and ways of thinking about culture.

Keep It!

Keep It! allows me and Louis to take our overbearing amount of film and pop culture knowledge and make it accessible to our listeners who didn’t spend their weekends binging VH1’s I Love the 90s and still rewatch awards show acceptance speeches on YouTube at parties.

Sexy Unique Podcast

The original Vanderpump Rules podcast! Lara Marie Schoenals and Carey O’Donnell are so funny and knowledgeable on Bravo, pop culture, and general LA ennui.

The Comment Section with Drew Afualo

Drew is funny as hell and doesn’t mind whacking the men who say rude stuff to her in the comments. They live in her comments, but she just pops in for a good time.

Pop Pantheon

I don’t always agree with DJ Louie XIV’s pop music takes but I always love debating pop music with him.

Vibe Check

Sam Sanders, Saeed Jones, and Zach Stafford’s show feels like a necessary check-in with friends.

Lemme Say This

Do I know two funnier people than Hunter Harris and Peyton Dix? Probably not!

The Run-Through with Vogue

For Vogue devotees and casual fans, this podcast with longtime editors Chioma Nnadi and Chloe Malle is a great listen.

How Long Gone

I love hearing Chris Black and Jason Stewart discuss pop culture and even more, I love listening to two friends catch up with one another.

This Had Oscar Buzz

Joe Reid and Chris Feil’s podcast is a movie institution at this point and I love the deep dives on movies I’d long forgotten about and ones that for some reason, I can’t stop thinking about.

The Cutting Room Floor

This show is so exciting because Recho Omondi gets her guests to be completely unfiltered. The Law Roach, Yasiin Bey, and Colm Dillane episodes are must-listens.
